Blessing for a New Beginning In the out-of-the-way places of the heart, Where your thoughts never think to wander, This beginning has been quietly forming, Waiting until you were ready to emerge. For a long time it has watched your desire, Feeling the emptiness growing inside you, Noticing how you willed yourself on, Still unable to leave what you had outgrown. It watched you play with the seduction of safety And the gray promises that sameness whispered, Heard the waves of turmoil rise and relent, Wondered would you always live like this. Then the delight, when you courage kindled, And out you stepped onto new ground, Your eyes young again with energy and dream, A path of plentitude opening before you. Though your destination is not yet clear You can trust the promise of this opening; Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning That is at one with your life's desire. Awaken your spirit to adventure; Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in the risk; Soon you will be home in a new rhythm, For your soul senses the world that awaits you. ~ John O'Donahue, To Bless the Space Between Us Artist ~ Alice Mason

This has been my view over the past weekend,
taking time for reflection, turning inwards, yoga & sunrise, meditation & solitude, meeting myself where I am wordlessly. With acceptance and kindness, letting go of self-judgement, guilt, the doing, pushing, rushing. Letting go... allowing sighs to arise and release. Soaking up the wonder of nature, the senses nourished with fresh air, the warmth and joy of sunrise, native birdsong, the flow of a bubbling river, the soft dreamy energy of the Pisces full moon. Deep gratitude for this beautiful life. Listening to the whispers of the wind in the trees, and the whispers of my soul. Receiving teachings of Buddhist meditation, curiosity, friendly enquiry, felt sense, meeting each moment as it arises with mindfulness, alertness & softness. Searching for alignment & clarity, my dharma and home. Setting aspirations, intents and tapping into the endless ocean of infinite wisdom that is always there. ‘I think I have found my true north.' What is it that your heart needs in this moment? 💗 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "In the natural flow of whatever is occurring, cultivate a continuity of profoundly nourishing ease suffused with serene alertness and vivid discernment. Whether walking, sitting, reclining or standing still, allow everything to rest in its own place." ~ by Tarchin Hearn extract from Essential Practice https://greendharmatreasury.org/20…/…/14/essential-practice/ Let there be
an opening into the quiet that lies beneath the chaos, where you find the peace you did not think possible and see what shimmers within the storm. ~ Jan Richardson. ~ Painting by Robyn Chance |
